This is where we bring together all the very latest developments, events and support stories at DT38.
It’s also a chance for us to share important information about the work we do to raise awareness of testicular cancer around schools and in communities as well as publicly offering our thanks to the many people who support us in our endeavours.G
A Full House at the DT38 Poker Night!
The fourth annual Charity Poker Tournament in aid of DT38 at Crown Aspinalls London on October 10th was a huge success.
Former Socceroos skipper Mile Jedinak and 2014 World Series of Poker champion Martin Jacobson took to the tables to compete for the title along with 2018 winner Ejaaz Dean
However, this year we had a new winner.
Professional poker star Sam Trickett led the way to clinic the title and helped us, along with all other players, raise an amazing £22,270 for DT38.
Massive thanks to the team at Crown Aspinalls London for their amazing hard work at the event.
WA Football Awards
We were honoured to be invited to attend and speak at the WA Football Awards on October 12.
The glitzy annual bash – at Optus Stadium – crowns the best in soccer from across Western Australia each year.
At this year’s event our very own DT38 Australia Media & Communications Manager Donna Giuffre walked the red carpet with Dylan’s father Jim Tombides, Dylan’s uncle and DT38 Australia Director, John Bondi and his brother Brian Bondi, to represent our charity.
Donna took to the stage to share some of DT38’s most important messages about the risks of testicular cancer and our awareness work and Jim presented the Dylan Tombides Young Player of the Year Award to Inglewood United’s Chok Dau.
Huge thanks to everyone at Football West for inviting us to attend and take part in this fantastic event.
Sydney Hammers – Been there, seen that, got the t-shirt!
Our friends at Sydney Hammers – a West Ham supporters club down under – ran a silent auction recently and announced in early October that they’d raised a fantastic $3,500 (AUD) for DT38.
The gang sold limited edition shirts branded with their own special logo and DT38 and they were a big hit!
Our thanks to everyone at Sydney Hammers for this fantastic effort and wonderful donation.
Looking great in your shirts guys!
New DT38 Ambassador
Here come the girls!
We’re thrilled to welcome our third female Ambassador to DT38.
Earlier this month we revealed the appointment of Sky Sports TV presenter Bianca Westwood as an Ambassador.
Although it is obviously men and boys who are at risk of testicular cancer, we firmly believe that girls and women have part to play in encouraging their brothers, sons, dads, uncles, boyfriends, husbands, cousins and friends to stay safe by self checking.
Bianca will now help us spread the word and it’s amazing to have her on board.
DT38 White Collar Boxing, Round Two
Excitement is building as we close in on our second white collar boxing event on November 10.
We have been staggered by the support for this year’s event with 24 brave folks ready to enter the ring to raise funds for DT38 in Awareness Below the Belt 2.0 at York Hall, Bethnal Green, London.
We’re delighted to announce that West Ham United icon Carlton Cole will be there on the day to present trophies to the contenders.
The proceedings will be overseen by MC Billy Nicholson.
Awareness Below the Belt 2.0 is brought to you in partnership with Peacock White Collar Boxing who will oversee the action in the ring, keeping it safe and exciting for everyone.
We would also like to thank the following companies so far who have pledged their support for the event through sponsorship or auction prizes.
Rainham Industrial Services
Denman & Goddard
Alexander House Hotel
Peacock Gym & Daniel Dubois
Grosvenor House Hotel
Vidauban Golf Club
Baglioni Hotel London

Many Happy Returns
A bumper birthday month at DT38 in October for our Ambassadors and team.
On October 7, testicular cancer survivor and Blackpool FC defender Ryan Edwards was 26.
Just five days later DT38 Board Member John Bondi was a year older along with Youth Ambassador Lee Bondi and on the same day Hammers icon Carlton Cole turned 36.
Dylan’s West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce celebrated his 65th birthday on October 19th and the next day it was Many Happy Returns to Oxford United attacker Rob Hall who was 26.
And on October 28th, Portsmouth winger Ryan Williams was also 26 years old.
Happy Birthday one and all!
Picture of the Month
Each month we get sent so many amazing pictures of folks across the world showing support of DT38 and we select our “Picture of the Month”, just for fun.
This month this fantastic image of three young men who have been supporting DT38 for some time.
The Audin brothers – including DT38 Youth Ambassador George Audin – lining up to show off their brilliant collection of shirts.
What a great picture lads!

We are so grateful to more than 35,000 people who follow and support us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
