DT38 Official Newsletter – Channel38 – September Edition

Welcome to the DT38 Foundation September newsletter, Channel38.

This is where we bring together all the very latest developments, events and support stories at DT38.

It’s also a chance for us to share important information about the work we do to raise awareness of testicular cancer around schools and in communities as well as publicly offering our thanks to the many people who support us in our endeavours.

Dylan’s West Ham Debut

We’re extremely grateful for the huge amount of messages of support we received on September 25th, which marked seven years since Dylan made his debut for West Ham United.

The appearance for the Hammers was a very important event for Dylan and his friends and family because he reached this goal despite the painful threats of testicular cancer which he was battling at the time.

It also meant Dylan took his place in the West Ham United history books forever.

West Ham United published a moving and powerful article about his appearance for the club, in 2012 which we would like to share once again.

You can read this article here https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2019/september/25-september/dylan-tombides-touching-debut-seven-years

Both of them were on September 5th.

Dylan’s West Ham United coach Tony Carr was 69 on that day and Perth Wildcats basketball star Damian Martin turned 35.

A very Happy Birthday gents!

Picture of the Month

We are delighted to receive so many fantastic pictures of people across the world showing their support of DT38 in various ways and each month we choose one to name our “Picture of the Month”.

This month we’ve chosenDiane Miocevich & her daughter Kate Miocevich who visited Dylan’s memorial stone at Champions Place, London Stadium all the way from Perth, Western Australia.

What a beautiful picture!
